Rapido regrets that we have had to cancel this project. The orders were very low, and our supplier for the rear trucks informed us they can't get them. We would have had to tool them up from scratch. With such low orders, it was not remotely economically viable. The total sales for the entire project barely would have covered the tooling cost for the truck. We appologize for any dissapointment that this may cause.

Rapido Trains Inc. is pleased to announce
a (sort of) new model of the Fairbanks
Morse 5-Axle C-liner locomotive.
We have leased the tooling for this
locomotive from True Line Trains. We are
making several modifications to it in order to
bring you an almost-new model of this unique locomotive.
The Rapido Express HO scale 5-Axle C-Liner will feature all new artwork and
decoration with correct side grills, trucks and fans. It will also feature added road-specific details such as correct grab irons,
antennas and horns. It will be available in DC (silent) or DC/DCC (with accurate Soundtraxx Tsunami sound).
The first releases in this series will be the HO scale 5 axle CPA20-5 and CPA24-5 locomotives for the Long Island Railroad and the New Haven. These locomotives will be produced strictly to order so get your reservations in by December 15, 2010!
If they are successful, we have other paint schemes planned.
